Kruno Kardov is Associate professor at the Department of sociology, Faculty of Humanities and Social
Sciences, University of Zagreb. Currently he is a visiting scholar at the Faculty of Political and Social
Sciences, Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence. He teaches courses on theories of power, social
movements, and social history of ideas and his research interests focus on social movements, civil society
and peace and war. He is currently working on media representation of migrants in Croatian media as a
result of recently finished project INCLuDE (2020-2022). He is also a leading researcher in research project
New Public Culture and Places of the Social (2020-2023) that is related to socio-cultural centres and new
models of governance based on civil-public partnerships.
